| When you log
in you will go to the Standard search mode, which
is suitable for most searches.
Type your
search term in the box labeled Search Term.
Use lower case letters, as upper case letters force adjacency
in searches (see the tutorial). To restrict
searches to one day, type the date in the Date
box in the format dd/mm/yyyy. If you want to search across
a range of dates, use the earliest and latest dates separated
by a space (e.g. 01/01/1999 31/01/1999 to restrict searches to
January 1999). Leave the date box blank if you do not want
to restrict searches by date.
| To instigate
a search, press the Search button.
This will return a summary screen of articles
meeting the search criteria. Each entry will have
the headline (in orange), Publication, date and the first
few lines of the article. Clicking on the orange
headline will display the full article.
For a fuller explanation of all the search
functions, refer to the tutorial.
